Crown Retail Services, Winick Realty Arrange 15,000 SF Retail Lease on Upper Westside
Duane Reade has committed to the last remaining retail space at The Corner at 72nd and Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper Westside.
The drug store chain will occupy approximately 15,000 square feet of space on the second floor of the new residential rental development, located on the corner of 72nd Street and Broadway.
The Crown Retail Services team represented Philips International and Rhodes NY, the developers of the property, in the long-term transaction. Jeffrey Winick of Winick Realty represented Duane Reade in the deal.
“There was an extensive search for the right tenant to occupy this final space,” said Brittany Bragg, Chief Operating Officer of Crown Retail Services. “The addition of Duane Reade not only provides a valuable amenity to the residents of the luxury rental tower, but to the entire neighborhood.”
Duane Reade, the largest drug store chain in the metropolitan New York City area and part of the Walgreens family of companies, continued its strategic expansion with this new transaction. The property’s additional anchor tenants include the Trader Joe’s market and a Bank of America branch office.
