Restaurant and Events Space for Hudson Yards Development
The 7 train extension may not be finished yet, but new business continues to trickle into the once desolate blocks of the city’s new Hudson Yards District.
An upscale and modern (but still unnamed) eatery by Ark Restaurants will move into 10,350 square feet of space on the ground level, Tenth Avenue side of mixed-use development 505 W. 37th Street, according to the Winick Realty Group.
Private events venue and catering hall Pillars 37 and Pillars 38 has also leased nearly 10,000 square feet of space in the same building, the real estate company said.
Asking rents for both spaces were $40 per square feet.
“It’s a burgeoning neighborhood, much like Chelsea was a few years ago,” said Josh Singer, associate director at Winick. “The future holds a lot of promise.”
Ark’s other NYC establishments include the Bryant Park Grill and Columbus Baker. The owners of Pillars 37 and 38 also operate neighboring Loft Eleven.
Some 1,200 apartments, all rented, rise above these commercial spaces in three towers, Singer said.
Meanwhile, Winick is still looking to fill a few ground floor retail spaces at sister building 455 W. 37th Street, which currently houses a Duane Reade and a gourmet market.
Prospective tenants include pet stores, salons and wine and liquor stores, according to Singer.
