5 Napkin Burger to open at Union Square

New York City ( February 25, 2011 ) Winick Realty Group said that 5 Napkin Burger, the popular burger chain that’s opened three New York locations since 2003, has leased its fourth location at 150 East 14th Street, on the southwest corner of Third Avenue.

The restaurant includes 3,570 sq. ft. of ground-floor space, as well as a full basement. The new location is slated to open in April.

Crank Cycling Studio Leases 800 SF at The View

46-30 Center BoulevardCrank Cycling Studio has signed a 10-year lease for 800 square feet at The View at 4630 Center Boulevard in Long Island City. The new studio, which is scheduled to open this spring, will have 26 modern Schwinn torture racks.

Asking rents in the area are nearly $35 per square feet annually. In the transaction, the tenant was represented by Ted Kokkoris of Modern Spaces, while the landlord was represented by Josh Singer and Steven Baker of Winick Realty.

corner of east 14th street and third avenue5 Napkin Burger is opening a restaurant in Union Square. The burger chain has leased 3,570 square feet of space situated on the corner of Third Avenue and 14th Street from Solil Management.

The new restaurant will occupy space on the ground floor and the basement. Tatiana Jung-Voevodina and Richard Smith of Winick Realty Group represented the tenant, while Judy Brener represented the landlord in-house in the lease transaction.

Juicy! 5 Napkin Burger Comes to Union Square

5 Napkin BurgerIt was only a matter of time before the high-end burger craze hit Union Square. Sorry Shake Shack, because Five Napkin Burger is opening on the corner of 14th Street and Third Avenue.

The burger chain has opened three other New York locations since 2003. It does face some stiff compeition from Goodburger, at Broadway and 17th Street, which has to its name both a glowing Times review, not to mention, this Chowhound gem: “Goodburger should change their name to Excellentburger.”

The restaurant includes 3,570 square feet of ground-floor space, as well as a full basement. “This prime corner has laid fallow for the past five years. 5 Napkin Burger will undertake a full reconstruction of the building and turn it into a wonderful gem,” said Winick Realty Group’s Tatiana Jung-Voevodina, who repped the tenant along with Richard Smith. Landlord Solil Management was represented in-house by Judy Brener.

The joint is expected to open in April 2011. It’s other locations are on Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Broadway and 84th Street on the Upper West Side, and in Astoria.

The location is in close proximity to Union Square, as well as NYU, with its nearby dormitory buildings and the campus itself. 5 Napkin Burger will anchor the block that includes next-door-neighbor Trader Joe’s. The restaurant chain already operates units on Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Broadway and 84th Street on the Upper West Side, and in Astoria.
