Professional Experience
With more than 25 years of experience, Steven Weissmann specializes in retail leasing and property disposition, focusing mainly on Long Island and the outer boroughs. He joined Winick Realty Group LLC in 2000.
Previously Mr. Weissmann was Manager of Retail Leasing for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In that position, he played an integral role in retail leasing at the World Trade Center and Port Authority Bus Terminal.
At Winick, Mr. Weissmann has closed transactions with tenants such as Sherwin Williams, Duane Reade, Wachovia Bank, Dollar Tree, Chase Bank and Dunkin Donuts, and with property owners like BLDG Management, Vornado, Spiegel Associates, Federal Realty Trust, and Cord Meyer.
Mr. Weissmann has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
Awards and Recognition
Mr. Weissmann is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He was named one of New York City’s 2007 Power Brokers for Retail Leasing by the CoStar Group, based on total leasing transaction volume for that year.
