Professional Experience

Steven E. Baker, President, joined Winick Realty Group LLC in 2000 and shortly became one of Winick’s best performing brokers. Having discovered his outstanding sales skills while managing medical supply sales, Mr. Baker decided to focus on real estate leasing and sales. He realized how essential retail real estate is for New York and how big his contribution could be. Constantly advancing his skills and experience, Mr. Baker has become an expert in a broad range of brokerage and advisory services for both property owners and retail tenants.

Retailers such as AT&T, Duane Reade, Payless ShoeSource, Mario Batali Restaurants, and City University of New York are included in his portfolio. Having negotiated numerous transactions, Mr. Baker is today marketing some of the most prominent retail locations in the city, representing property owners like The Related Companies, The Durst Organization, The Brodsky Organization, Chatham Development, TF Cornerstone, The Stahl Organization and The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company.

Awards and Recognition

Mr. Baker is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Mr. Baker was named one of New York City’s 2011 Power Brokers for Retail Leasing by the CoStar Group, based on total leasing transaction volume for that year. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Pace University.
