Duane Reade to Roll Out Spruced Up New Store at 60 Spring Street

Duane Reade has signed a deal for roughly 12,000 square feet at 60 Spring Street according to sources.

The space is being vacated by Parasuco Jeans, which acquired the retail condominium in the building for about $9 million in 2005 from the developer Shaya Boymelgreen, who had bought and converted the 12-story building into residential condos.

Rubens Looks for Fast-Fix for Expanding Jeweler

 Winick Realty Group has been appointed the exclusive broker for Fast-Fix Jewelry in New York.

Darrell Rubens, managing director at Winick Realty Group, will represent the Delray Beach, FL-based company along with his associates, Annie Shinn and Michael Gleicher.

Fast Fix Jewelry is the world’s largest franchise of jewelry and watch repair services, offering efficient and professional repair for both men’s and women’s pieces since 1984. Fast-Fix has 163 locations in the United States and Canada, as well as three in Dublin, Ireland.

The Fast-Fix brand is set to expand both locally and internationally in the next few years. Storefronts in England, Venezuela and Australia are slated to open by 2011, and Fast-Fix plans to open at least five stores in Manhattan.

They are currently looking at 300-1,000 s/f locations in areas with high foot traffic such as the Financial District, Midtown and Herald Square.

Winick Realty Group announced the Beauty and Youth Salon, the West Village mainstay specializing in skin care treatments, signed a 12-year lease at 17 West Eighth Street. Jamie Rogers of Winick Realty Group represented both the landlord and tenant in this transaction. The location offers 1,500 s/f on the ground floor, as well as a 1,200 s/f mezzanine and 500 s/f basement.

Winick to broker jewelry repair chain

New York City ( March 22, 2010 ) Winick Realty Group announced it has been appointed the exclusive broker for Fast-Fix Jewelry in Manhattan.

The Delray Beach, Fla.-based company is the world’s largest franchise of jewelry and watch repair services, according to Winick. It has 163 locations in the United States and Canada, as well as three in Dublin, Ireland.

The Fast-Fix brand is set to expand both locally and internationally in the next few years. Storefronts in England, Venezuela and Australia are slated to open by 2011, and Fast-Fix plans to open at least five stores in Manhattan. City’s burger barrage flips into high gear

The city’s burger barrage is picking up in intensity.

An all-natural burger chain will soon open in the former Chelsea home of the Il Bordello restaurant. New York Burger Co. signed a 15-year lease for 1,777 square feet of storefront space at 470 W. 23rd St. The asking rent was $175 per square foot.

Winick Realty Group managing director Joseph Isa represented both New York Burger and landlord Noam Management. With the High Line just to the south he noted “the whole area is changing and this store will be a great amenity for the neighborhood.”
