TF Cornerstone names Winick exclusive retail agent for 11 properties

Developer TF Cornerstone has named the Winick Realty Group as its exclusive retail leasing agent for 11 properties. Winick will be responsible for marketing the retail space at the TF Cornerstone properties, containing more than 50,000 square feet of retail space. A top priority now is leasing out more than 28,000 square feet of retail real estate at TF Cornerstone’s new mixed use towers at 455 and 505 West 37th Street, near 10th Avenue, Winick said.

New York’s Neighborhoods Owe Retail a Lot  

So many of the city’s changes for the better have been tied to restaurants, shops  

Over the past year I’ve noticed a remarkable increase in the number of mothers pushing baby carriages along Third Avenue in Murray Hill. (On Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, I see more fathers.) Anyway, in the mid-1970s, the only things getting pushed in Murray Hill were drugs and hookers. Ten years ago there were actually meatpackers in the Meatpacking District. I won’t even mention Harlem or Times Square. I can go on and on. Neighborhoods throughout the entire city have been reconditioned, at least in part, by the vast amount of residential and commercial development, both large and small, that has taken place over the last decade. From my perspective, I believe that the retail, entertainment and restaurant sectors were prime catalysts for much of this growth and change.

DEAL FOR DISPLAY

Friday, February 12, 2010 –  Udizine, the Israeli-based display company, signed a lease for 2,600 sf of retail space for its first U.S. showroom at 498 Seventh Avenue, between 36th and 37th Streets.
The 1,615 sf ground floor space includes a 1,048 sf basement.
The asking rent was about $54 per foot and the deal was signed in the high $40s per foot.
Tatiana Voevodina and Richard Smith of Winick Realty Group represented both the tenant and the ownership, George Comfort & Sons, in this long-term lease transaction.
Udizine sells display fixtures used in stores to present merchandise, demonstrate product usage, communicate promotional information, and more. Retailers who have used Udizine products include Diesel, Mercedez Benz, Citibank and Office Depot.

Winick Leases Retail Space at Upscale East Village Condo

NEW YORK, NY—Petopia, the New York-based dog boutique and pet-related retail store with two other locations in Manhattan, has leased a 1,400-square-foot retail store at the base of 420 East 14th Street, the newly-constructed luxury condominium located between First Avenue and Avenue A.

“We’re very pleased to have represented ownership in this transaction,” said Lori Shabtai, Executive Vice President of Winick Realty Group, who, along with her associate Michael Gleicher, represented the landlord, Magnum Real Estate Group.

This lease is the latest in a long-standing relationship between Winick Realty and Magnum. Shabtai and Gleicher recently represented Magnum and Halo Air in a retail lease at 133 West 22nd Street, a newly-completed luxury residential building in the heart of Chelsea. The first U.S.-based spa for Halo Air, which offers state-of-the-art salt treatments, had its grand opening on February 1.

Winick Brings Pet Store to E14th

In their second retail deal for developer Magnum Real Estate, Winick’s Lori Shabtai and Michael Gleicher has brought Petopia, the dog boutique and pet store, to a 1,400 s/f retail store at the base of 420 East 14 Street, the newly-constructed luxury condominium located between First Avenue and Avenue A.

The pair also represented Magnum Real Estate Group and Halo Air in a retail lease at 133 West 22nd Street, a newly-completed luxury residential building in Chelsea.
